Artisanal Chocolate Making Class

Kids and Parents Making Memories Class Description

Spend some quality time together in the kitchen. This is a 2 ½ hour class in the Wiseman House Chocolate Studio for kids ages 7 – 12. Class includes chocolate history, creating chocolates from scratch, and creating chocolate confections with child’s choice of ingredients. Your child will leave with their own creations and a better appreciation for fine chocolate. {Please let us know of any food allergies, no peanuts will be used for this class}

$40.00 per child and one parent/guardian ($20.00 extra for 2nd parent or guardian)

Begin Discovery Class Description

Come experience five hours of hands-on, artisan chocolate making in this intensive gourmet chocolate class and demonstration. Each class is led by a Wiseman House Chocolates chocolatier and will include:

  • A brief history of chocolate
  • An introduction to making fine chocolate truffles and confections
  • How to temper chocolate
  • How to make ganache
  • Rolling and dipping chocolate truffles
  • Flavor enhancing and pairing with chocolates

Classes are from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. Classes are broken up into two sections and will include a light meal. At the end of the class you will be able to take home your own original gourmet chocolate confections. Classes are only available on the scheduled dates, or made by appointment (minimum 4 people per class with a maximum of 6), and are held at our chocolate studio in downtown Hico, Texas. A private class can be arranged at a location of your choosing.*

Beyond The Basics Of Artisian Chocolates Description

Join Chef Kevin at Wiseman House Chocolate Studio in our second core class that goes beyond the basics into an intensive class on self expression in chocolate. Tempering chocolate is still at the heart of our program, however creating personal creative flavors and techniques to enhance your own style of confectionery is the theme of this hands on class. Infusing flavor into chocolate and chocolate ganache focusing on the taste as well as eye appeal. There will be time for practicing and discovering chocolate decorating that can be applied to chocolates, confections and desserts.

The class will include:

  • advanced flavor preparations
  • practice in tempering chocolate
  • techniques in chocolate decorations
  • Different styles to enrobe chocolates


$200/per person for a 5-hour class

A $50 deposit is required to register for a class**

Make Your Own Creation

Mix raw chocolate from Belgium and Venezuela, whip in fresh ingredients like whipping cream and natural flavors like crushed coffee beans or unique liqueurs.

Learn by doing. Enjoy the company of others while you learn the art of fine chocolate making. By the end of the day you will have made a couple original gourmet chocolate confections. It's a unique experience that you will remember for years to come.
